Our client has custom web based software they develop
for the telecom industry that is utilized for performing inventory of inside
and outside equipment. The software also allows tracking of materials and
reconciliation of data. Our client's customers are able to access much of
their data that is housed on servers at our clients location. Our client
works with the largest Telecom companies in the U.S.
1. Project Manager - Oversees Development Projects
Our client's developers are primarily coding in C# and the database is SQL
Server. They also use Flash and AJAX. These web based systems handle large
data transfers from our client's customers and from their field technicians
that are collecting data in the field and transferring that data back to our
client's office.
The Project Manager will oversee development projects that are cutting edge
new development and also maintenance projects of existing systems.
The majority of the development projects and releases will be 3 to 4 month
projects so the PM needs to be able to lead, track, and thrive in this type
of environment.
The ability to work with the programmers and communicate with them regarding
project time lines is key to this position.
This is ideal for a project manager that has been a project manager in a
software development environment with multiple projects and deadlines
2. Project Manager - Oversees the Data Transfers and Data Inventory from
customers
This Project Manager will be working on 2 to 3 projects at one time that
will be similar in nature involving the large transfer of data from our
client's customers to their SQL Server and Access databases. Data Files
from customers that are transferred to our client are downloaded and
processed. During this processing and manipulation of data, there can be
some fall out of data that will need corrected. Some of data comes down in
grids including digital pictures and mapping components(maps that show
location of outside equipment). This is not a position for someone that
thrives on constant change, even though their are 3 to 4 projects going at
once, they are very similar in nature involving data transfer and involve
multiple telecom customers.
A plus to this position is someone who has ran DTS package in SQL Server and
has experience querying Access Databases.
